INTERESTING PIG FACT FOR JULY 2012
Domestic pigs are multiparous and have estrous cycles year-round that average 21 days (with a variation range of 18-23 days). However, European wild pigs in the Chizé forest of France produce one litter per year with farrowing in late winter or early spring after an average gestation period of 120 days.
